Hisab Dost · Version 1.2 · September 2026
Hisab Dost is a bookkeeping companion operated by Michio Systems Private Limited. It helps users record income, expenses, credit entries, and related financial activities through Telegram, WhatsApp, and companion app experiences.
Access may be linked to your phone number and messaging account, and a separate username or password may not be required.
You should maintain reasonable control over the phone number, messaging account, and device used to access Hisab Dost. If you believe your linked account or device has been compromised, please contact support. We may request limited verification reasonably necessary before changing account-linking information or processing sensitive account requests.
By accessing or using Hisab Dost, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Our Privacy Policy and Data Deletion Policy explain how personal data is processed, retained, and deleted. Any consent required for processing personal data is obtained separately where required by applicable law and is not created merely by accepting these Terms.
You must be 18 years of age or older to use Hisab Dost. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
You agree to use the service only for lawful bookkeeping purposes for yourself or for accounts that you are authorized to manage.
Hisab Dost is a bookkeeping and automated assistance tool. It is not a bank, NBFC, payment system, accounting certification service, or provider of legal, tax, investment, banking, or lending advice.
If you choose to enable Notification Access in the companion Android app, the app is designed to inspect incoming notifications locally to identify supported UPI or payment-confirmation notifications needed for the optional UPI Auto-Capture feature. Manual ledger entries continue to work without Notification Access.
For supported notifications, the companion app is intended to extract only limited structured transaction details such as amount, direction, timestamp, party hint, and hashed reference where available. Raw notification text, OTPs, personal chat messages, and full payment messages are not intended to be sent to our servers as service data.
UPI Auto-Capture is a bookkeeping convenience feature only. It does not initiate, approve, reverse, or settle a payment, and Hisab Dost does not require your OTP, UPI PIN, card PIN, or banking password for this feature. Because notification formats and third-party app behavior can change, auto-captured entries should be reviewed before being relied upon for important decisions.
Your personal-data processing is described in our Privacy Policy. We process data to deliver ledger functions, summaries, security, account management, subscription management, deletion handling, support, and related product features.
You retain any rights you have in the ledger data and content that you provide. You permit Hisab Dost to process that data only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, administer, and support the service, to handle account or legal requests, and for the other purposes described in the Privacy Policy.
We may use service providers for hosting, database infrastructure, Telegram/WhatsApp messaging, app distribution, and payment processing where applicable. We do not sell user data or share it with advertisers.
Where bookkeeping processing relies on your consent, you may withdraw that consent through the consent controls provided in the Hisab Dost app. After withdrawal, new consent-based bookkeeping processing stops, including new bookkeeping entries, consent-based reports, UPI Auto-Capture processing, and Telegram or WhatsApp bookkeeping processing that relies on the withdrawn consent.
Bookkeeping and ledger data retained for that consent-based purpose is erased from active Hisab Dost systems, unless retention of specific information is necessary for compliance with applicable law. Withdrawing bookkeeping consent is different from deleting your Hisab Dost account: the account itself is not automatically deleted, and limited account, security, billing, legal, consent, withdrawal, and compliance records may remain where required for account administration or another lawful purpose.
You may later give fresh consent again through the Hisab Dost app. After fresh consent, bookkeeping starts with a new, empty ledger; bookkeeping data erased following the earlier withdrawal is not restored. Where encrypted backups are used, residual copies of erased bookkeeping data may remain for up to 30 days before removal through backup rotation and are not used for normal bookkeeping processing.
Hisab Dost offers a Free Limited Plan and may offer a Paid Plan. Certain features may require an active Paid Plan. The price, validity period, recurring or non-recurring nature of a purchase, and material plan features applicable to a purchase should be shown through the relevant purchase flow before the transaction is completed.
We may change future pricing, plan structure, or feature availability. Any change affecting an already-purchased Paid Plan entitlement will be handled subject to applicable law and the rules of the relevant store, billing system, or distribution channel.
Hisab Dost may require maintenance and may occasionally be unavailable, delayed, or affected by connectivity, device, hosting, messaging-platform, app-store, bank, UPI-app, operating-system, or other third-party issues outside our direct control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability at all times.
We may modify, temporarily suspend, or discontinue a feature for security, legal or compliance, technical, third-party platform, abuse-prevention, operational, or product reasons. If such a change materially affects an active Paid Plan entitlement, any applicable refund, adjustment, notice, or other remedy will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the relevant billing or distribution-channel rules.
You may stop using the service at any time. You may also request deletion of your account data through the in-service deletion flow or by contacting us. Account deletion is separate from withdrawing bookkeeping consent as described in Section 6.
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary because of suspected unlawful or fraudulent use, a material security risk, a material or repeated breach of these Terms, non-payment or reversal of a paid transaction, a requirement imposed by law or a competent authority, or a material restriction imposed by a third-party platform on which the service depends. Any such action remains subject to applicable law and does not remove any non-waivable consumer or data-protection right.
Moving between the Free Limited Plan and Paid Plan, expiry of paid access, or uninstalling the companion app does not by itself delete your server-side Hisab Dost account or ledger data.
Deleting a Hisab Dost account does not necessarily cancel a subscription that is managed by an external app store, billing system, or payment channel. Where applicable, such a subscription must also be cancelled through the relevant channel.
After the pending deletion window, eligible account data is deleted from active systems. Residual copies may remain in encrypted backup rotation for up to 30 days. Separately, limited records may be retained longer where reasonably necessary or required for legal, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, audit, tax, billing, payment-dispute, or compliance purposes.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Michio Systems Private Limited shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or business losses resulting from use of, inability to use, delays in, or errors in the service, including issues caused by third-party platforms or services such as Telegram, WhatsApp, banks, UPI apps, mobile operating systems, hosting providers, app stores, or connectivity providers.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability, right, or remedy that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer-protection rights.
We may update these Terms for legal, compliance, security, operational, or product reasons. The updated version and effective month will be posted on this page.
Material changes will apply prospectively. Where applicable law or a relevant billing or distribution channel requires additional notice or consent for a particular change, we will follow that requirement. Continued use after the effective date of revised Terms may constitute acceptance only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Where the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 or another applicable law requires a consumer grievance timeline, consumer grievances will be acknowledged within 48 hours of receipt and redressed within one month from the date of receipt, or within any shorter period required by applicable law.
For a payment-related complaint or dispute, please include your registered phone number, transaction date, amount, and order or payment reference if available. Never send your OTP, UPI PIN, card PIN, CVV, or banking password to Hisab Dost support.
For in-service deletion requests, the deletion flow follows the product process, including a pending deletion window of up to 8 hours. Privacy and data-rights requests are handled within the period required by applicable data-protection law.
To protect user accounts and personal data, we may ask only for limited information reasonably necessary to verify that a request relates to the correct account before processing sensitive account, payment, privacy, or deletion requests.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
Nothing in these Terms restricts any non-waivable right or remedy available under applicable consumer-protection, data-protection, payment, or other law. A user may approach any court, consumer commission, regulator, or other competent authority having jurisdiction under applicable law.
The Hisab Dost name, branding, software, interfaces, documentation, and service content, excluding user-provided ledger data and content, are owned by or licensed to Michio Systems Private Limited and are protected by applicable intellectual-property law.
Subject to these Terms and applicable law, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use Hisab Dost for its intended lawful purpose. Except where applicable law expressly permits otherwise, you may not copy, sell, license, distribute, materially modify, reverse engineer, or bypass technical protections of the service.
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable by a competent authority, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent legally possible.
A delay or failure by Michio Systems Private Limited to enforce a provision does not by itself waive the right to enforce that provision later.
Where a store, billing system, or distribution channel has mandatory terms that specifically govern a purchase, refund, cancellation, or payment dispute, those mandatory terms apply to that matter to the extent required, together with applicable law.
